It was a terrible, keening sound, much like I imagine a mother elephant might make upon finding her elephant child missing. Low pitched and monotonous, except for the several notes that didn't exactly hit their mark.  Intermingled with that, was the unfamiliar, high pitched tones of a Chinese opera emanating from the house that glowed lime green ( Read more... )
